Chef Nancy Longo was a culinary chef Instructor at BCC from 1987-until 1989, when she opened Pierpoint. She has returned there several times to teach classes ranging from , knife skills, production classes, world cuisines, as well as ran the restaurant class at L Ecole.  In 2001 she began teaching children's  classes at Pierpoint and Privately as summer camps and saturday morning classes.  In 2008, thru 2012 this garnered her a Baltimore's best for " Children's cooking classes in Baltimore" by Baltimore Magazine!
In 2007 Nancy resumed teaching Adults at her landmark restaurant Pierpoint and teaches as well as tailors classes for adults who want team building excercises, group parties, as well as book club events.
It is out of her dedication to cook as well as teach about technique, tastes as well as share the history and lore of food that she has been doing so for years.
So we invite you to come join us for a real cooking experience in a Restaurant setting!

 SAUCES-  come learn the essentials of making classic and modern sauces for foods, we will cover Asian sauces, French sauces, Italian , Thai, Carribbean, and Cajun,  as well as modern American sauces.  This class will be set at a non discounted rate, as we will be eating LOTS of food and will help any cook who wants a lesson in how to make great sauces of any kind. we will also cover stocks and demi glace. SATURDAY 1-4  $ 75 fee.
  
 
 SEAFOOD ,  THIS CLASS IS A COMBINATION OF CHEF NANCY'S FISH CLASS with the addition of techniques on how to cook shellfish properly, as well as ideas for sauces, appetizers, and modern ideas for cooking seafood.  1-4 pm $ 75 this is not a reduced fee class as we will be cooking all seafood. 
 
 THAI.... COME LEARN THE SECRETS OF THAI COOKING , CURRIES, THAI APPETIZERS,DRUNKEN NOODLES, PAD THAI, AS WELL AS COOKING  THAI SOUPS, SPRING ROLLS AND OTHER THAI DISHES.     SIGN UP QUICK.  AS THIS CLASS WILL FILL UP QUICK!   1-4 PM.  $75 OR $65 IF SIGNED UP ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE. 
 
 HOLIDAY APPETIZERS ... COME LEARN TO MAKE APPETIZERS FOR THE HOLIDAYS : DUMPLINGS, PUFF PASTRY APPETIZERS, FILO APPETIZERS, SPRING ROLLS, SATAYS, AS WELL AS SOME CREATIVE MODERN APPETIZERS WE OFFER IN THE RESTAURANT.  6-9 PM   $75 OR $65 IF SIGN UP 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE.
 
 
ALL CLASSES WILL RESUME RIGHT AFTER THE HOLIDAYS WITH  THE SCHEDULE.. BEING POSTED EARLY DECEMBER.

Aprons will be provided, as well as a group meal.  please call 410 675-2080  to reserve a space  as space is limited to 10 persons per class.  Classes  are approximately 3 hrs long.
 
                                                                                                                                                                               Note: Do you have a group that would like to make a party or class lesson for themselves?  Chef Nancy Longo is now taking reservations for  Sunday and Monday afternoon/evening classes for any group of 8 or more  for a private lesson on any cusine,  so if you are looking for a get together, birthday party , or just a group lesson , give a call and we' ll   tailor a lesson for your group.
